As in common with many other golf clubs we have a thriving Senior Section. Matches are held during the year against other local clubs and details of these fixtures for 2022 are listed below:-

The tour for 2022 has already been organised. However vacancies often occur when players have to withdraw due to other commitments. If you are interested in joining the tour even as a subsititute for 2022 please contact Frank Turner through the club. 

2022 Seniors Tour

Starting in May 2022 it is planned to take in circa 40 Seniors Open competitions at various venues throughout the North West of England. The formats  are either 4BBB or 4 man team events and are restricted to senior gentlemen/old curmudgeon golfers, over 55 years of age, (although there are an increasing number of ’young gun’ competitions, where the age limit is further reduced to 50).

You can choose to play in as many or as few competitions a you wish, and, if your body and wallet will stand it, you can play in them all!!  New to the game or a seasoned hacker, all will be made most welcome, as this inclusive tours main aim is to provide senior golfers of all abilities with enjoyable and fun days out  with like-minded people were the key focus is very much on camaraderie and friendly banter
